Brough 1923 Model W

Brough-1923-Model-W-HBu.jpg
HORIZONTALLY opposed twin cylinder engine, bore 70 m.m., stroke 643 m.m., 496 c.c., large outside flywheel, with roller main bearings, designed and produced entirely in the works. The pistons are either of aluminium alloy or steel, at option, either type being fitted with two rings at the top, with a keeper ring to secure the gudgeon pin. The engine is capable of very high revolutions and the road speed is only limited by the nature of the roads ridden over. Overheating, 'drying up,' and valve breakages are unknown.

This Model can either be supplied to touring or sporting specifications, the variations being in handlebar, gearbox, and silencing arrangements. The sporting model is fitted with full T. T. handlebars, a gear box with special close ratios, and long plated exhaust pipes to the rear of the rear axle. A guarantee is given that this model will exceed 60 m.p.h.

This model is the result of some years experience in perfecting the type, having been first manufactured in 1911.
