Eysink Alpine Hunter 1938 with Imperial Sidecar

This Eysink combination was purchased shortly after the Second World War by a French soldier who had taken part in the liberation of the Netherlands. He returned with it to Nice and rode it, with its French-made Imperial sidecar, as his personal transport for many years. In later years, he worked at the Chateau Margaux wine cellars where the machine was used until 1963. The Eysink sidecar combination remained there after his demise until discovered in 1995 by a Dutch motorcycle enthusiast.

It was bought in 2008 for the NZ Classic Motorcycles collection from Netherlands antique motorcycle specialists Yesterdays.
