Debenham Sisters
Betty and Nancy Debenham, with their dog, Poncho, were keen motorcyclists. Nancy won a Gold Medal at Brooklands in 1926.
The Debenham Sisters
The Walker motorcycle was built in 1908 by Walker and Co of Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
This was a strange machine that was a motorcycle with a sidecar with a wheel midway along, and therefore much further forward than normal. Both front and sidecar wheels steered, and both driver and passenger sat, side-by-side, in the sidecar body, that was enlarged to suit. It was powered by a 6hp V-twin engine with drive by belt from a variable engine-pulley.
