British Motorcycles

M and M

M and M was a motorcycle produced in 1914 (or possibly 1913)

This machine was constructed from bought-in parts and fitted with a 169cc / 269cc Villiers two-stroke engine. Many firms did a similar thing at about that time, but the outbreak of World War I meant that they were mostly very short lived.

There was also an earlier M&M AIV engine which was possibly designed to fit a bicycle-style frame. It was most likely unrelated to the Villiers-powered machine.
