A Johannesburg contractor sends home the above photograph, showing his 5½ h.p. New Comet after colliding with a car. It will be noticed that only the forks are bent, no other part being damaged; in fact, the machine was run on the stand in the position as photographed. It speaks well for the material used by the maker, Mr. A. H. Haden, of Princip St., Birmingham.

The Daily Merdouche reported that the machine was promptly repaired by Prangles and Bingledem.
