The first Alron motorcycles were assembled in Western Australia by Ron Lyon and Al Hayes and were derived from Sprite scramblers from Britain.
Early models were powered by 405cc Sprite engines, and these were sold by Brian Clarkson in Sydney, who also raced them.
Other models were fitted with the reliable Ossa engine and gearbox from Spain. At $900 the Alron 250s were not cheap for their time but the hand built frame, superior electrics and a quality finish gave good value for money.
BVM of Belgium also built machines from the Sprite kits, and these were virtually identical to the Alron. American Eagle of the USA also built them, and theirs were very similar.
Competition from the Japanese eventually saw the decline of Alron Industries.

RE: Alron 400
Good evening,
I did a google search of Alron 400 and your website popped up with an interesting little article about the bike. I wonder if you would be able to point me in the direction of where I might get such a bike valued for a deceased estate... (message truncated)
