Vin

The Vin motorcycle was produced around 1912, possibly in London.

This rare make had a 573cc ohv single engine, two-speed Jardine gearbox and all-chain drive. The petrol tank followed the line of the drop-frame top-tube, so had a distinct kink to it. It had Druid-style braced forks, with their one spring located inside the steering column.

The image displayed shows "VIN" clearly stamped on the crankcase.

A brief article in The Motor Cycle of Aug 17th 1911 titled "Track Racing at Cambridge" has three entries for "P.V. Wallis 2¾ h.p. Vin."
