Franz Miggisch and Julius Franz established Leichtfahrzeuggesellschaft Miggisch & Franz, München, in 1921, and manufactured motorcycles from 1923 to 1926.
Initially they sold Autoflug scooters, Mars motorcycles, Vefa sidecars [1] and a variety of motorcycle accessories
The Bavarian marques' first motorcycles were fitted with BMW M2B15 [2] flat-twin engines. They later offered 300, 350, 500, 750 and 1000cc models using singles and V-twins supplied by JAP and MAG.
Julius Franz and others did well on Bayern machines at local races in 1924, and some of the machines were recorded as having JAP engines.
The catalogue for the 1927 listed models with 350cc, 750cc, and 1000cc engines, however it is likely that the firm did not survive 1926 due to Germany's financial turmoil.
Notes:
1. No record of Vefa sidecars has been found as of Nov 2025.
2. One source says they used SMW 298cc engines, rather than BMW.
