Amisa Motorcycles

A Brief History of the Italian Marque

Officine Meccaniche di Vedano al Lambro were located in Milan on Via Zumbini and built motocarri and a lightweight motorcycle with a 98cc Alpino engine.

In 1946 Pietro Vassena designed a 125cc two-stroke twin with horizontal cylinders equipped with a rotary valve, mounted in an Amisa frame. This was presented at the 1948 Milan show as the Amisa-Rumi.

The following year Rumi entered production and displayed a modified version of the machine at the 1949 Milan Show.

A Vassena engine was also fitted to the Carniti

Amisa was active from 1946 to 1950.
