FADA and SAVA Three-wheelers

FADA began manufacturing 3-wheeled delivery vehicles in 1956.

The Co-founder and director of FADA, Francesco Scrimieri, proposed the creation of SAVA (Sociedad Anónima de Vehículos Automóviles) in order to develop automobile manufacturing independently of the other business activities of FADA.

At the end of 1957, the newly formed SAVA company employed 292 workers and had begun manufacturing 3-wheeled industrial vehicles with a payload of up to 1,750 kilograms, which were widely accepted in the market.

The following year, the new factory built 150 3-wheelers with a payload of up to 2,000 kilograms. Soon afterwards the production of 1000 4-wheelers was authorised.
