The Pre-War Jawa's

f

Few people seem to know that JAWA were building speedway machines long before the war. This is the 1934/35 speedway machine (Right) that had a 500cc 2-valve OHV engine.

Later, in 1937, G.W.Patchett designed this JAWA single cylinder SOHC 2valve machine. Note the front and rear suspension units to this machine that was manafactured for both Speedway and Grasstrack.

Production still continued during the War-years as this 1940 - 43 machine shows. This particular model had a DOHC 2valve Blown Twin Cylinder engine and had been designed by Jan Krivkr and Vincenz Sklenre .
