Series One

The first model, which was identified as 1st Series, had an engine exactly the same as a Sachs 2-stroke 98cc engine, 2-speed, shifter in the tank, start with dual pedals type bicycle, rear brake and front forward with Expandable skates and tapes.

The masses of the wheels were of chromed steel type bicycle. The wheels were 26x2.00, with front suspension and rigid rear frame.

It had a stamped front fork. The motorcycle was made in series after a Pre Series of 20 bikes that were tested for 1 year by factory workers. It included a triangular toolbox, an inflator with the inscription "Puma" on its handle, a horn with a single terminal, a light switch and a horn on the handlebars and a decompressor. The luggage rack was tubular. He had a single seat, no place for companion.

Series Two

In 1956 another model was introduced that introduced some modifications. The 2nd Series had a 98cc 2-stroke, 2-speed Sachs engine and changes were made with the foot. The boot was with kick pedal. The rear brake had a pedal with rod, expandable skates and back ribbons.

The masses of the wheels were of aluminum. The covers rolled 26x2.25, with front suspension and rigid rear frame. The front fork is also stamped but not cut. Throughout the production of the 2nd Series there were modifications that did not have very defined stages. Two models can be identified within this series. The primitive model was carrying a key light only on the front headlight, 26x2.00 front rim and 26x2.25 rear rim, both with the flap aluminum mass. In addition, welded to the handlebar, the primitive model had the supports of the brake levers, clutch and decompressor. The last model of the 2nd Series, discarded the decompressor and had a "stop" button under the headlight, which also had a speedometer. This improved model was rolling on 2 equal 26x2.25 covers and aluminum masses flipped forward and back. It is the best known model. All 2nd Series had a single seat, with iron frame and rubber lined, without place for companion. The luggage rack was stamped.

Series Four*

There was no 3rd Series, although it was planned, its production was skipped due to internal factory issues. The 4th Series was then the next and came out in 1959. The first version came with a 98cc engine (100/3) but with 3 speeds. Subsequently, in 1962 came the version with 125cc engine. It looked totally different from its predecessors.

The 2 versions of the 4th Series were made with 16 "wheels, lower height, kept the aluminum masses flipped, the braking system with expandable skates and the Sachs engine, already licensed TELEVEL.The box had 3 gears instead of two The front fork was fixed and had two ends that gave the suspension, and a rear shock absorber and an integral seat for 2 people.

Series Five

After the success of the 4th Series, a new model came out in 1963. It had a powerful 200cc engine but did not have time to be commercialized, since very few units were manufactured. This was perhaps the best achieved model of the factory, but the closing of the same, prevented that they were made in greater number. The front suspension had progressed a lot, since it was of the telescopic type. The wheel was 17 ".

Puma Modelos
