Pirie Motorcycles

Ellen Street, Port Pirie, South Australia.

Manufactured by Archibald Limb (born June 4th, 1862), initially in partnership with a Mr Low, at the Port Pirie Pioneer Cycle and Motor Cycling Works from 1903 to 1914. Believed to be the first motorcycle built in South Australia, the 1903 Pirie was powered by a Minerva engine.

A 1908 advertisement states "The Pirie Lightweight Twin Cylinder Motor Cycles are reliable and sure."

Limb

Archibald Limb may also have marketed motocycles under the Limb brand. A Limb motorcycle with a Fafnir engine dated as 1906 was reportedly under restoration in S.A. in 2016, however it is unclear from the correspondence whether the marque is Limb or Pirie.
