Manufactured by Paape Bros. of 218 Moorabool Street, Geelong, Victoria, c.1912 to 1914. The name Pivot is derived from Pivot City, the earlier name for Geelong.
The machines were fitted with Precision single and twin-cylinder engines using Chater Lea frames and components.
In October 1912 Percy Yeend rode a Pivot Precision 4 ¼ h.p. to a new 24-hour endurance record.
"The winner used a motor fitted with a Peerless engine, same as used by Paape Bros, when building their Pivot motor cycles. Paape Bros are also local agents for Triumphs..." (April 1912)
From 1912 to 1915 the firm offered Bradbury motorcycles.
Fred Paape left the business in the hands of his brother Harry in 1913, to become manager of the Sydney branch of Milledge Bros.
