Harris Performance Motorcycles

The brothers Steve and Lester Harris formed Harris Performance in Hertford UK in the early 1970s and produced frame kits and complete motorcycles using Japanese, Italian and British engines.

Their web address is harris-performance.com.

Their first frame had mono-shock rear suspension and housed a Suzuki two-stroke engine. This proved very successful and led to a string of similarly configured machines. In 1980 they created a chassis to house the Kawasaki four, and this was raced by Andy Goldsmith and Mike Trimby with excellent results. Harris Performance machines were raced in the TT Formula 1 class by the likes of Phil Read, Mick Grant, John Newbold,, Steve Parish and Martin Lunde.
