"La Grande Marque Charolaise" of was created in 1920 by Alfred-Jacques Fonlupt in La Clayette in Saône-et-Loire.

Sold Louison L.S.N. motorcycles, probably rebadged, in 1926. At the 1958 Paris Salon they presented 5 models.

Fonlupt served as the mayor of La Clayette during World War II. He saved a young Jewish girl named Rébecca Hakim by arranging for her care by local residents who hid her from the Nazis.

The firm ran as a family business until 1985, producing as many as 500 bicycles per month.
