J. N. Boberg of New South Wales arrived in Adelaide on 2 January 1923 having completed the first stage of a journey around Australia on a Dunlop tyred Indian Scout motorcycle. He had left Sydney on 9 December 1922 and was intending to ride to Perth via Port Augusta. The attempt came to an end in April 1923 when some distance beyond Onslow, Western Australia, Boberg ran into a telegraph pole. Advertisements on the sidecar include three for Goulding sidecars, Dunlop tyres, and Castrol oil.

1920-22 Goulding Sidecar body on 1918-1922 Harley Davidson Chassis
Hello,
I have a sidecar that has a genuine 1918 -1922 Harley Davidson chassis and what is alleged to be an early Goulding body fitted to it. It has been "restored", but not in the correct colours and has a modern chrome screen door handle fitted. I was hoping that you may be able to assist me, please, with any hints or advice on how to identify what body I have. It is all steel panel work, a small rear boot, rounded, blunt f nose with a plywood floor that has a cut out section to allow clearance for the axle tube. I can email pictures, if you like. Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Mike Woods,

Thanks for your reply. I will attach some images. Perhaps, someone can identify the body style. I would really like to know what the original door handle looked like.

    A post states:
"Three types of the Goulding 45 sidecar body were used between 1929-52:
Type A with left side passenger door for lefthand sidecars,
Type B with right side passenger door for righthand sidecars,
    Type C with no doors."
"Total production of LS29 Goulding sidecar in my workshop between 1990- 2009 reached over 400."
Every chance the writer can supply more information.
