Not always as appealing to non-motorcyclists as the fashionable Italian designs from Lambretta and Vespa, Puch produced well-engineered, solid models with good brakes, steering and handling.

The Puch Alpine was one of these and the one for sale today is a 1961 model, by which time it had received a 150cc 5hp engine with 3 speed left hand grip gear change and had substantially constructed and damped front suspension, unusual for the time. A 250 cc engine option was considered necessary by riders but unfortunately was never introduced. PHM 29 has matching frame and engine numbers, buff log book, rear carrier, twin seat, looks to have its probably irreplaceable original trim and accessories and is striking in blue livery and contrasting wheels.
