Ardie Dreirad 1926-1929

In 1926 Ardie presented a three-wheel rear-loader powered by an Ardie air-cooled 490 cc single-cylinder four-stroke or alternatively with a JAP engine. A lighter version had an air-cooled 5 hp single cylinder 349cc two-stroke engine with 349 cc displacement. The maximum load capacity of the Transport-Dreiräder was 500 kg.

Competition from Tempo and Goliath was strong, and Ardie could not achieve market penetration given the difficult economic condtions. At the end of 1929 the construction of cargo motor tricycles was discontinued.
