The Model X was produced from 1935 until France was invaded by the Nazis in 1939. Earlier that year the French army proved the worthiness of the model when a dozen officers rode one of these machines for 19 consecutive days and nights, travelling some 50,000 kilometres at an average speed of over 109 km/h.
