The Targa Florio motorcycle races began 1920 and continued until 1930, the first ten in the Madonie mountains and the last in Palermo.

The second race, held in September 1921 starting and finishing in Cerda, consisted of three laps of a 108 km circuit. There were two categories, 500cc and 750cc. Domenico Malvisi won the 750, and Gino Finzi won the 500 on a Moto Guzzi - the first of a long line of victories for the great Italian marque.

    Pacov

Established in 1906, the motorcycle track in Pacov (@ 150km west of Brno) held the first international race in Austria-Hungary (and the third world-wide). The Pacov Circuit is still in use. Further information: mestopacov.cz
