The Type B4 was introduced in 1930 with a single-cylinder, 350cc, side-valve 4hp engine and three-speed gearbox with hand change. It was the base model of the company's 350cc and 500cc Grand Tourisme & Grand Luxe range.
Its stablemate, the Type B4C, featured an overhead-valve 350cc engine and cost 4,500Fr, while the Serie Sport & Grand Sport range included the somewhat more expensive overhead-valve Type B4C Sport which was guaranteed to achieve a top speed of 110kph to 115kph.
This 1932 Type B4 was purchased for the NZ Classic Motorcycles collection from a private vendor in Sanson, New Zealand.
