The Ulster gained a left-hand foot-operated gearchange in 1932, and in 1934 the cylinder head was cast in aluminium bronze alloy with parallel inlet valves and radial-splayed exhaust valves.

The logbook says that this machine was once fitted with a sidecar in the UK. It was purchased for the NZ Classic Motorcycles collection in Nelson from Staffordshire in 2009 before joining New Zealand's Motorcycle Mecca collection in mid-2016.
