Fagerstrom BikeWorks Sydney 1986
342 Parramatta Rd, Petersham
Established by Peter Fagerstrom, a talented tuner who built a Moto Guzzi not unlike the Dr John machine. It crashed at Bathurst and the rider, Mick Lendrum, was quite badly injured. Story has it that the bike came to rest upright, supported by the tank which had become separated. Mick later managed Sydney Motorcycle Wreckers for a decade or so before moving to the Southern Highlands where he managed Staintune Exhausts.

Frank Musset
Sydney Rd Coburg, Vic. (1960s-70s)

In the 1970s he was CZ dealer.

FRANK MUSSETT WINS DOUBLE

Another outstanding success was recorded by the young Victorian motor cycling champion, Frank Mussett, in the Victorian Tourist Trophy races decided on the Cowes circuit, Phillip Island, on Anniversary Day. Mussett won both the "senior" and "junior" events in brilliant and easy fashion.

In the "senior" (500 cc. machines) he covered the 78.6 miles in 55 mins. 34 secs., his average speed being 84.5 m.p.h. His fastest circuit (about 64 miles) was negotiated at 86.69 m.p.h. In the "junior" (350 cc. machines) over 52 4 miles, Mussett covered the distance in 38 mins. 54 4-5 secs., average speed 79.93 m.p.h.

Mussett's victories were achieved with such ease that it was apparent that, had he been extended, a new speed record for the Cowes road circuit would have been established. Since his return from England, after running 10th in the 1939 British "Junior T.T." race decided on the Isle of Man course, Mussett (Velocette) has started four times for four important successes.
