Mototrans Ducati 200cc

The Elite 200 evolved over the years to become the 200 V5, first presented in 1967.

200 V5 Specifications

Engine : 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled - bore x stroke 67 x 57.8 mm - total displacement 203.7 cc - compression ratio 8.5:1 - distribution by overhead camshaft with two valves in the cylinder head - wet sump with pump - Amal 376/25 carburettor - multi-disc clutch in oil bath - 4-speed gearbox - primary transmission by gears - secondary transmission by chain.

Chassis : tubular steel frame - telescopic hydraulic front fork - swingarm rear fork with 2 hydraulic shock absorbers - Ø 180 mm drum front brake - Ø 160 mm drum rear brake - tyres: 2.75 x 18" front, 2.75 x 18" rear.

Dimensions: wheelbase 1320 mm - dry weight 110 kg - fuel tank 22 litres.

Electrical system: The lighting is battery-powered, and the battery is recharged by a MOTOPLAT alternator via a rectifier.

Performance : 18 hp at 7500 rpm - maximum speed 140 km/h in normal position - fuel consumption 3 litres/100 km.

Colour scheme: metallic white paint for the mudguards and sides of the tank and cherry for the rest; it has fine red pinstriping on the tank and white on the toolbox sidecovers.

Evolution: Initially, it was an Elite model with different colours. In 1970, it was upgraded to a five-speed transmission. The Amal carburettor became standard, with the Dell'Orto carburettor as an option.
