MX Carbon-fibre Frame Concept, Monark

Gentile Redattore,

As the use of carbon-fibre technology in racing car bodies and also the frames of both racing and MTB bicycles is now quite widespread, I have imagined the next generation of motocross machines equipped with a perimetral CF section mounted from below and affixed to the alloy frame laterally with bolts, with a single radiator positioned above, the air channeled to it via the front guard mounted near the front wheel in similar fashion to a competition trials bike.

The rear suspension utilises a David Weagle "DW-Link". [dw-link.com]

The saddle is integrated with inverted "U" shaped exhaust pipes similar to GP bikes, and the number plate is located on the rear wheel axle. The machine would be equipped with a transponder.

The last two images are in the realm of fantasy, if you will - a British "BSA" and a Swedish "Monark", both of which won World Titles in the 500 class some years ago.

Obviously such a project would require detailed design and rigorous testing and refinemnt, with considerable associated development costs.
