History:
The machine was purchased by Trevor and Wilf Jowett, who were the AJS Agents for northern Tasmania and owned the AJS outlet in Launceston. The bike has been used solely for competition work and has never been registered for the road.

The bike's racing achievements include tow Australian records for the standing and flying quarter mile with sidecar and passenger. The records were achieved in the mid 1930's on Bakers Beach and Green's Beach, both located on Tasmania's north-east coast.
