Betty and Nancy Debenham, with their dog, Poncho, were keen motorcyclists. Nancy won a Gold Medal at Brooklands in 1926.

The name could be applied to Coventry Eagle machines during the Edwardian period. Brand names were, and still are, adapted and changed to suit marketing needs or avoid legal problems in various markets.
