FRAME The 1934 frame has been improved to take the added strain of this improved engine unit and the engine plates enlarged. It is built throughout of A. & P. highest grade tubes. Sidecar lugs are embodied. Sturdy front stand fitted, spring-up rear stand.
FORKS Webb heavy type girder with spring-loaded shock absorbers and steering damper.
GEARBOX 4-speed Burman with hand control, foot control optional. Ratios 4:86, 6:13, 8:22 & 13:00. The foot control is of the built-in type. The box is slung and held by two stout bolts. Provided with simple and accessible adjustment. Use Castrolease for sweet gear changing.
BRAKES & HUBS Drop forged drums fitted with rubber shock absorbers in rear hub. Wide linings. Rain and mud excluders and finger adjustment.
TYRES 26 x 3.25 inch Dunlop heavy on Dunlop chrome-plated rims, lined carmine.
MUDGUARDS Car type, deep dome with central strengthening rib. Hinged rear. Beaded edges to guards and number plates.
TANKS Both of welded steel. Petrol 2 gallons 6 pints. Chrome finish with two level push-on taps giving reserve supply. Oil tank 1/2-gallon. Oversize Knee grips.
LIGHTING Lucas Magdyno, 6 volt, with the new large double filament head lamp and stop light at rear. Brake controlled. Larger rubber suspended battery in universal carrier (Patent No. 21454/33), which allows for swinging out or detachment for topping up, etc. Every cable armoured.
HANDLEBARS & CONTROLS Amal clean, with all controls get-atable. Twistgrip. Bar adjustable as to height and angle.
CHAINS By Coventry. Front chain entirely enclosed. Automatically lubricated.
SADDLE Large 3 - point suspension. Soft top.
CARRIER The carrier has a detachable top with 2 large metal containers and complete set of Abingdon tools in special steel container. Bluemel pump.
FOOTRESTS Drop forged, adjustable and fitted with honeycomb rubbers.
DETAILS The whole frame and metal parts are anti-rust treated. Finished off with black enamel. The petrol tank is chromium, coloured and lined gold.
POINTS Upswept pipe (will stop battery swinging out). Short travel foot change. Engine bolts and plates increased in strength. Double filament bulb in headlamp.
