Laverda LH1 & LH2, 125 & 250cc

1976 Laverda LH1 125cc

In 1976 the Laverda TR2 (previously named the Chott 250) was superceded by the 125cc LH1 powered by a Husqvarna engine which was fitted to a chassis closely based on that of the Swedish motocrosser. Laverda modified the induction tract using a different reed valve and a Dell'Orto carburettor rather than a Bing.

1978 250 LH2 250cc

Laverda's first serious off road model was the 1973 250cc Chott, which was followed by the simpler TR2 version in 1976. Neither sold particularly well. The 250cc LH2 was available from 1978. Laverda employed the Italian motocross champion Italo Forni to both help develop and campaign the bikes. Approx. 2000 of all LH models were built between 1977-80. The LH2 was also available in green. 29hp at 7,600rpm. Weight 140kg. Top speed 140kph.
