1968 750 American Eagle GT

While the first production Laverda big twin was the 650 very few were made before it was replaced by the 750. Imports started in 1968 to the US under the 'American Eagle' name by John McCormack. Only 150 or so were imported before the venture failed in 1970, after which the machines were exported under Laverda's own name. GT, Sport and SS (with a smaller fibreglass tank) models were made. The motorcycles were often fitted with factory accessories which included crashbars (with mirrors attached), tank rack and rear rack.
