The second of the three limited edition models based on the 750 F1, the Laguna Seca was named in honour of Marco Lucchinelli's BOT win at the Californian track in 1986. While similar to the preceding Montjuich, the Laguna Seca differed in many small details. There were minor changes to the cylinder heads & clutch, some of the frame brackets, brake master cylinders and there was a narrower oil cooler intake. Some Paso parts, such as the wheels & discs, were incorporated. The plastic hugger rear guard was new. A Marco Lucchinelli signature decal was placed on the tank. A total of 296 Laguna Secas were produced (all in 1987), including 50 US models (of which this regularly ridden bike is one) and 96 dual seat versions. 95hp at 10,000rpm. Dry weight 155kg. Photographed in New Zealand. 2012.
