Manufactured by Karl Binder in Reichertshofen, N. of Munich, from 1952 to 1956. Some 800 of these were built exclusively for DKW for their 250 and 350cc machines.
The sidecar grille echoes that of the DKW Sonderklasse cars of the time.
Metallwarenfabrik Reichertshofen Karl Binder GmbH was founded in 1926, and remains active under the Binder name as a supplier to the automotive and aviation industries, among others.
