1938 Velocette MAC 350
ENG.MAC 563
In 1934, Velocette released a 350cc ëhigh camshaftí design with enclosed valves. The compact and sprightly machine featured a four-speed gearbox equipped with the companyís new foot-change mechanism. This was the long-stroke MAC. The MAC proved successful and continued with its rigid frame and, initially, Webb girder forks into the post-war years, giving the adage 'Donít fix what ainít broke' some real meaning.
This example was restored some ten years ago and is in good running order.
