Long Five
Pictures* that show the JAP Long 5-Stud engine (Above) more clearly and that were kindly sent to me
by Mike O'Neil in America.
This particular motor is out of an Erskine "Staride" machine which you
can see on the "Staride" Page and which is currently undergoing restoration.
Still housing its Fuel Pump and Carb, we hope to show further pictures of the 5-Stud as restoration
develops.
The Short 5 (Left)* that was kindly sent in by Ken Williams, also from America. As you can see, the engines look identical and the difference between Long and Short stroke motors is difficult to distinguish.
