Monet-Goyon Automouche

Monet & Goyon Automouche

During the First World War, Adrien Goyon financed engineer Joseph Monet to manufacture disability vehicles for war veterans. Their company Monet & Goyon was formed in 1917.

Their first engine, in 1919, was an English 117cc Auto-Wheel built under licence, which they also used in their Automouche three-wheelers and Vélauto scooters up to 1925. The latter was sometimes proclaimed as the World's first scooter, but the Autoped from the United States preceded it in 1916.

Later models of L'Automouche were fitted with Villiers engines.

The Automouche remained in production until at least 1936.
