Monet & Goyon Vélauto

1919 to 1920. Vélauto Type T

This machine used the Auto-Roue (Auto-Wheel) bicycle engine in a scooter-like machine with a platform on which the rider stood, often with a basket rather than a saddle. The 117cc engine was built under licence to A.W. Wall until 1925, and was also used in their Automouche three-wheelers. The Vélauto was sometimes proclaimed as the world's first scooter, but the Autoped from the United States preceded it in 1916. 1925
The Velauto 2 CV received a 147cc Villiers engine. Later, the Super Velauto had a 270cc Villiers engine.
