Nancy and Betty Debenham promoted motorcycling for women in the 1920s and 30s, and were accomplished riders who wrote many articles and a book on the subject. They usually travelled with their dog, often on solo BSA motorcycles and sometimes in a sidecar combination. Nancy won a gold medal at Brooklands.
