The 250 TS (along with its badge engineered twin the Benelli 250 2C) was the first all new design to emerge from Moto Guzzi after the De Tomaso take over in 1973. Released in 1974, the 231cc 2-stroke twin remained in production until 1982. Initially fitted with a double-sided single leading shoe drum front brake, this was replaced with a single disc in 1976. In 1975 electronic ignition replaced the original points. Otherwise not much development took place over the years. The only significant difference to the Benelli version was that the TS had chrome plated aluminium cylinders while the 2C's were cast iron.
