Betty and Nancy Debenham, with their dog, Poncho, were keen motorcyclists. Nancy won a Gold Medal at Brooklands in 1926.

With a focus on fine sports and racing cars, the museum features several motorcycles in fine original condition. These include an MV Agusta 750 S and an NSU sports machine along with examples of the BMW, Honda, Ducati and Norton marques.
Opened in 1985, the museum has 900 square metres of exhibition space which also displays around 1000 toys and a huge number of scale model trains from sub-HO to large scale ride-on live steam.
