The Reg Imray Collection at Bicton Gardens

Bicton Gardens, near Exmouth, is a fine attraction in its own right which added the Reg Imray motor cycle and car collection to its exhibits in 2012.

Reg Ingram, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, has been collecting classic automobiles and motorcycles since he was just 19. He has loaned some of his finest to Bicton Gardens.

"Reg's love for motorbikes began when he was just eight years old, after his school teacher told him he would never own a motorbike because he was deaf - making him 'determined' to own one.

The vintage vehicle enthusiast first owned a motorbike during World War Two when he paid his dad £10 for his first BSA."
